myAI Scouts
Sent to all members of a team of 8–30 people before a significant direction change is announced — a restructure, a strategic pivot, a major process change, or a shift in priorities. The team uses Slack for daily communication, Notion for documentation, and holds weekly all-hands and 1:1s. The team lead or manager will use findings to anticipate concerns, identify where more context is needed, and decide what to address proactively in the announcement rather than reactively after it. The goal is to hear from everyone — including quieter team members who rarely surface concerns in 1:1s.
What they'd want to know before a big change
Think about a significant change that happened in a previous team or job — a restructure, a pivot, a new direction. What information did you wish you'd had earlier that would have made the transition easier? This is the most important signal for what to address in the announcement.
What they're currently uncertain about
What aspect of the team's current direction, priorities, or structure is unclear to you right now — something you've wondered about in a Slack message or a 1:1 that hasn't been fully resolved?
What they need from leadership during a change
Think about a time when a change was communicated well by a manager — what did they do that made it feel handled well? And think about a time it wasn't — what was missing?
What would make them feel confident going into the change
What specific information, context, or commitment from leadership would make you feel confident about navigating whatever change is coming?
